Approval comes first
Space, your item, and any requested accessories must be approved by staff. Bring your equipment after we confirm the arrival arrangements.
A shared storage area
This is a shared area rather than a private storage unit. Staff, contractors, other storage customers, and authorized people may enter or pass through.
Bring a compatible lock
We recommend a personal lock where the assigned setup permits it. Confirm the locking method with staff before attaching a lock.
Monitoring and security
24/7 monitoring and on-site security help oversee the property. These measures cannot eliminate every risk of theft, damage, weather exposure, or unauthorized access.

How much is monthly equipment storage?
The rate is $100 per month for one approved customer-owned item. Space is limited, and Mission Bay Sportcenter must confirm availability and equipment approval before enrollment.
What equipment can I store at Mission Bay Sportcenter?
The program is intended for approved kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, and similar personal watersports equipment. Approval depends on the item type, size, condition, requested accessories, and available space.
Can I access storage outside business hours?
Yes. Your approved storage area is accessible 24/7. Other MBSC facilities are available during business hours. Follow the entry and locking instructions provided by staff.
Does the storage area have monitoring and security?
MBSC offers 24/7 monitoring and on-site security. Monitoring and security help oversee the property, but they cannot prevent every loss, theft, damage, weather exposure, or unauthorized access event.
Should I lock my kayak or paddleboard?
Yes. We recommend an appropriate personal lock when compatible with the assigned space. The area is shared with other authorized people. Ask staff which locking method is permitted.
Do I need equipment photos to submit an interest request?
No photos are required to get started with the basic interest form. If our team needs photos, we will ask you to reply by email with clear full-length views, identifying labels, any existing damage, and requested accessories.
How do I start monthly payments?
After staff approves your equipment and space, MBSC will email a private enrollment page with the storage benefits, guidelines, and a Square payment link. Review the amount and monthly billing schedule in Square before confirming. The interest form does not collect payment information.
Can I bring my equipment immediately after submitting the form?
Please wait until MBSC confirms your space, equipment approval, start date, locking method, and arrival instructions. Submitting the interest form does not reserve or guarantee a storage space.
