How many people fit on a pontoon boat?
Up to 10 passengers may ride on one pontoon. If your group is larger, contact us about additional boats or a coordinated group activity plan.
What does “$35 each” mean?
It is the $350 two-hour boat base divided evenly among 10 guests. It is an example of splitting the rental, not an individual ticket or a final checkout price. Standard rentals also add a 10% fuel charge and a 10% concession recovery fee.
How much does a Mission Bay pontoon rental cost?
The published boat base ranges from $210 for one hour to $575 for four hours. Standard rentals also have a 10% fuel charge and a 10% concession recovery fee. Use the live booking calendar to confirm the current price and payment details for your date.
Do I need a captain or boating experience?
The pontoon is a self-operated rental and does not include a captain. The primary renter must meet the booking requirements, and every approved operator completes the required safety and boat orientation before departure.
Do I need a California Boater Card to rent a pontoon?
California exempts people operating rental vessels from the Boater Card requirement. You still need to complete our rental paperwork, safety instructions and boat orientation. Keep the completed rental paperwork on board as directed by our dock team.
How old do I need to be to rent a pontoon?
The primary renter must be at least 21 and bring a government-issued photo ID and credit card. Confirm any additional driver requirements with the team before your visit.
Can we bring food, drinks or a cooler?
Guests generally bring snacks, drinks and coolers. Avoid glass, and keep the operator legal and capable at all times. Check your booking terms and ask us about any specific item before arriving.
Where can we take the boat?
Stay within the approved areas of Mission Bay. Rental boats do not go into the ocean, and your dock team will review local speed zones and restrictions before you depart. Do not beach, anchor or tow behind the rental pontoon.
What if the weather changes our plans?
Weather and operating conditions can affect departures. Contact us if a forecast concerns you; changes and cancellations follow the terms of your specific booking.
