A clean, active, easy day on the bay.

Paddleboarding works because it is simple. You get on the water fast, learn quickly, and spend more time enjoying Mission Bay instead of figuring things out.

Why people love it

Stable, beginner-friendly, and surprisingly fun.

Our staff is always happy to offer pointers that can shorten the learning curve, but even the best paddleboarders often take a swim. Expect to get wet, keep things simple, and leave valuables and electronics safely stored on land while you are out on the water.

The experience

Simple enough for first-timers. Good enough to do again and again.

Paddleboarding is one of the most approachable watersports on Mission Bay. It takes very little time to understand, gives you a fun active challenge, and works especially well in the smoother morning conditions before the typical summer afternoon breeze picks up.

Expect to get wet That is part of the fun. Keep valuables and electronics safely stored in a locker before heading out.

Want something with less balance?

Try a kayak rental instead.

If you would rather choose something that requires less balance, a kayak is a great alternative. Being lower to the water and in a seated position makes it easier to stay stable, while still giving you a fun way to explore Mission Bay.
