With seating for up to 6 people, the Catalina 16.5 is a great choice for a group of anywhere from two to six people but is most comfortable with a maximum of 4. With 4 people, the roomy cockpit allows space for everyone to relax and enjoy a peaceful day of sailing on Mission Bay. The summer afternoons in San Diego often get an ocean breeze that is perfect for a sail on the bay, making that the perfect time to reserve a sailboat. And with less boat traffic than San Diego Bay, Mission Bay is one of the greatest sailing destinations on the west coast. Be sure to put this on your “must-do” list of activities in San Diego, as it is truly a special experience.
If you have a group of 4 to 6 people who would like to enjoy a day of sailing together, we recommend reserving one of our Capri 22 sailboats. These boats afford plenty of room in the cockpit for 4 or 6 people, are easy to sail, and allow the whole family or group of friends to come along for a sail on Mission Bay.
- Your reservation start time will begin at the designated time that you chose. Please arrive 30 minutes early to complete the Rental agreement and Safety and Boat checkouts. Due to high demand and time restraints please have your party here early and ready to begin your rental at the designated time.
- Picture ID and a credit card are required for all rentals.
- Parking is always tight so please plan accordingly.
